WHY LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY…

I have always had an adventurous and artistic spirit and have been blessed to live in two very beautiful places: Kona, Hawaii and San Luis Obispo, California. So practicing Landscape Photography felt like an obvious hobby. Whether it's a weekend warrior trip or the more rare two week adventure, photography has become my driver to explore the world around me. Having amazing locations to shoot is the easy part...leaving a warm bed to get out into the freezing cold to catch the first rays of light takes a lot of that adventurous spirit.

WHY MALAPIT IMAGES…

I started Malapit Images so I could become a famous photographer and get paid to shoot beautiful landscapes in far off places, obviously (are you listening Nat Geo). Nah! First, Malapit Images keeps my motivation and stoke high. Second, I’m typically a reserved guy and do not enjoy putting myself out there (though those who know me deeply would disagree) so this channel allows me to express myself and my work. And third, because this planet is too beautiful not to capture and share.
